COVID-19 virus precautions
In advance, we would like to inform you of the following; Due to the COVID-19 virus, we have to take precautions. As mentioned by the Dutch Government and WHO we must take our responsibility in preventing the spread of the virus. Therefore, we have to inform you that at a certain point we might be forced to postpone our training courses. Please be aware that in our Terms of Agreement it is stated that we reserve the right to cancel the training without a refund. When already paid for a training course we will not charge you again for the same training in 2020.
To comply with the recommendations of the authorities each trainee has to inform his/her whereabouts during the last 14 days prior attending the training in order to be allowed participation. All training courses that are now planned will go ahead unless otherwise informed. We are sorry for the inconvenience, and we all hope to stay in business as usual.
Whenever a ship gets equipped with new devices, it’s essential for crew members to learn the specifics of these devices. We often hear even the most experienced captains and navigational officers say they benefit from this type of training, as differences between brands, products and software cause every device to work differently. Our certified instructors offer you the latest tips and tricks on how to use our equipment that are often difficult to grasp with manuals only. Operational training can either take place (worldwide) aboard your ship or in one of our classrooms. This type of training is available to anyone who is interested.
We believe technical training is a continuous process which partly happens in the field but also needs to be facilitated by a certified instructor. It’s not without a reason that technicians and engineers are legally required to obtain a certificate to work on certain pieces of equipment. We make sure the necessary equipment is available in our classrooms so that every training is a combination of both theory and practice. Our instructors not only keep a close eye on product- and software updates but also include the latest regulations in their trainings. This type of training is only for distributors.
