Express treatment fee

Express treatment fee is a surcharge for orders that need to leave urgently and therefore cannot be processed in our regular schedule. Express treatment applies when the time between placing the instruction to our warehouse and dispatch of the order is less than 4 hours.

We distinguish several types of shipments; each has their own deadline before the express treatment surcharge applies, therefore please read the following carefully before placing your order.

Express Treatment Fee of € 120,- from 01-01-2025 applies when:

  • Instructions to our external warehouse (ITG) are sent after 10:30 and the shipment must leave the same day (please keep in mind that we need to process your order first so we need your PO before 10:30)
  • The shipment must be ready within four (4) hours after receiving complete shipping instructions.

    We distinguish numerous types of shipments; each has their own deadline before the express treatment surcharge applies, therefore please read the following carefully before placing your order.

    Courier shipments (i.e. OCS, TNT, DHL)

    Bookings at the courier companies need to be done before 15.00 hours our time. Therefore, if you want your order to leave on the same day, we need to send instructions to our agent LGI - with all necessary and complete information before 10.30 hours our time.
    For orders received after that time (or orders with incomplete information) which need to leave the same day, the express treatment fee will apply.

    Note; if you use your own/your customer’s courier account please check the transit time advising us which service of the particular courier you want us to use (economy express, express/ worldwide express etc.). If not advised, we will use the quickest option available.

    Road shipments

    Road shipments within Europe need to be packed, ready and booked by the truck company one day before collection. Transit time you receive from us starts counting after the shipment has been collected.

    Collection by own forwarders

    For orders that will be collected by own forwarders, an express treatment fee will apply when the forwarder wants to collect the shipment within 4 hours after receipt of your order/final instructions.

    Note; if you appoint your own forwarder, we, Alphatron/JRC prepare the shipment and pass you all necessary information (collection address/pick-up reference number, weight and dimensions of the shipment etc.). After that, please contact your forwarder for further information regarding collection.

    Airfreight shipments

    Because we are no longer located at Schiphol-Rijk (Amsterdam Airport area) we need one day to pack and deliver the shipment to our agent at the Airport.

    Also, our warehouse in Rotterdam does not comply with the international regulations to be appointed as known shipper. This goes for all warehouses located in Rotterdam due to incoming sea freight which is considered to be unsafe cargo. (Warehouses at Schiphol do comply with these international regulations).

    Therefore, all our airfreight shipments need to have security check before they can go to the airline. This security check is held daily between 12:00-13:00 -shipment needs to be at the warehouse before 11:00. If Express Treatment charges apply depends on few factors, but this will always be communicated with you before any arrangements.

    Note; in case you send your order/final instructions before 11:00, but you request airfreight quotation or other information that has to be investigated, time needs to be taken. When you receive our answer after 11:00, and you still want to proceed with the shipment the same day- express treatment will be charged.
