Lithium batteries pickup warehouse

If you wish to appoint your own forwarder to collect shipment containing lithium batteries, it is your responsibility to inform them about the DG content – please use MSDS (Material Data Safety Sheet) that you can find on our website. Your forwarder can find there all necessary information regarding handling the particular battery.

Forwarding agencies that will collect lithium battery shipments from our warehouse are responsible for proper packaging of the shipment once collected.

Alphatron Marine/JRC’s warehouse agent (ITG Global Logistics) will pack the batteries in a regular box and hand them over to the forwarding agent; after the hand over the forwarding agent needs to take care of proper packaging. When you or your forwarding agency has mentioned in advance that the shipment needs to be packed properly according to the IATA regulations we are able to do this but please note that ITG will charge a handling and transport fee for this. For the actual charges please check with our logistic department.

Courier companies (DHL, TNT, and UPS) do not accept any batteries (also batteries that are not considered as dangerous goods).

Only exception on this are shipments within The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France; these can be shipped via OCS courier without special packaging and additional charges.
