Shipments to Brazil

Besides a letter JRC also needs to receive the consignees CNJP-code (the Brazilian VAT code) for shipments to Brazil. Without this CNJP-code the shipment will not be accepted by local customs and therefore JRC will not arrange shipment. 

For customs formalities in Brazil please count on 4 to 8 working days before the shipment is released and a possible fee for unclear charges. For more information about the customs procedures (i.e. description of goods on the paperwork) please contact your local agent. Please note that when the vessel has left port already and the shipment is addressed to this vessel, your shipment will most likely be confiscated by customs.
